Samsung announced (via Twitter) that all of its Wave smartphones will get the bada 2.0 update, including those phones that don’t have WVGA displays. The timeline isn’t precisely defined and all we have is Q4, which means anything from now to the end of the year.
Of course, the number of features will vary depending on the phone’s hardware specifications — i.e. you can’t have contactless payments without an NFC chip.
In related news, the Korean company made bada SDK 2.0.1 available for download. This is a bug fixing release that doesn’t pack many new features. Interested developers — presuming some of you are interested to get their apps to the Samsung Wave device owners — can hop over to the Bada developer center and grab the new SDK from there.
